Germaine Lawrence provides the highest quality residential treatment services in New England for adolescent girls. Many of the girls we serve have experienced significant trauma. As a result, they have not developed the capacity to regulate their emotions or manage their behaviors in safe ways. They have adopted extreme coping mechanisms such as eating disorders or other self harm, running away, suicide attempts, sexually acting out, drug or alcohol abuse, or firesetting. Germaine Lawrence provides personalized treatment through comprehensive clinical services, a supportive special education program, and a highly structured therapeutic milieu. We offer a comprehensive continuum of services that helps girls reduce destructive behaviors, develop age-appropriate social skills, and make enough progress to enable them to live at home or in the community safely again. Immaculate Immaculate Heart of Mary School lies in the scenic town of Still River, part of the town of Harvard, Massachusetts. The Ivy Street School is a private residential and day school serving boys and girls (ages 13-22) adjusting to the challenges of a brain injury. We embrace a philosophy of complete family involvement in our school and offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of families confronting the issues that follow an injury to a child. Farr Academy is a therapeutic day school serving students in grades 7 through 12 with a range of emotional and learning problems. We provide an array of services that meet the individual strengths and weaknesses of each student. Skilled teacher/counselors, small structured classes, group and individualized curriculum aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, one-to-one tutoring as needed, and college preparatory courses provide a comprehensive approach to meet the diverse needs presented by students. In addition, we offer multi-faceted physical and outdoor education, woodworking, studio art and an intensive school-to-career program. Counseling and non-judgmental, non-punitive problem solving meetings are used to teach decision making as well as problem solving skills, through reflection and discussion. Additionally, the teaching of techniques and strategies to effectively manage anxiety, stress, frustration and anger are threaded throughout the program.

Housed in historic Searles Castle in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, the John Dewey Academy is a coeducational college preparatory boarding school with a strong therapeutic component. Our mission is to provide intensive, individualized instruction and therapy to alienated, angry, self-destructive, but bright adolescents. This approach inspires students to use, rather than to continue to abuse, their talents. The Judge Rotenberg Center is a special needs school in Canton, Massachusetts serving ages 3-adult. For 38 years JRC has provided very effective education and treatment to both high-functioning students with conduct, behavior, emotional, and/or psychiatric problems and low-functioning students with autistic-like behaviors.

Kennedy-Donovan Center is committed to the full continuum of care for individuals and families of all ages with developmental disabilities and similar needs in our region. Landmark is a coeducational boarding and day school offering a full range of customized programs for students with language-based learning disabilities such as dyslexia. With a college preparatory high school, a middle school, and an elementary school, Landmark is one of the most comprehensive schools serving students with language-based learning disabilities in the United States. Landmark accepts bright students who are emotionally healthy, motivated to learn, but need remedial help with reading, writing, spelling, listening, speaking as well as mathematics. With a 1:3 teacher-student ratio, the key to Landmark's successful model is the daily one-to-one tutorial. A customized tutorial curriculum is designed to remediate specific language needs, which may encompass decoding, fluency, phonological awareness, written composition, and organizational skills. In addition, Landmark offers a Summer Program which combines intensive, academic skill development with recreational activities.
