Established in 1926, The Gow School is an internationally renowned, college-preparatory, boarding school that specializes in the education of young men who have dyslexia or similar language-based learning differences. A SMALL, FRIENDLY SCHOOL FOR A MAXIMUM OF 25 HIGH-ABILITY BOYS WHO NEED A GOOD EDUCATION, A MANAGEABLE WORLD, AND AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF ADULT ATTENTION. Traditional courses taught in small groups of 3-5 boys put every student near the teacher. Family-style dorms house 5-6 students. Outdoor activities include sledding, canoeing, hiking, camping, and caring for farm animals. Informally-played sports include soccer, touch football, Wiffleball, and tennis. Arts activities include drawing, pottery, music lessons, and drama. All faculty live on campus. All meals are eaten together in a family-style setting. Weekends include both scheduled activities and time for relaxation and independent play. Hampshire Country School may be an especially good choice for those boys who find large schools overwhelming or overstimulating, including boys with nonverbal learning disabilities (NLD/NVLD), Asperger's, or ADHD. HCS is primarily a middle school, but students may also enroll at the upper elementary grade or the start of high school.

Hillside School is a small, structured, challenging academic environment for boys in grades 4-9. The school is intentionally kept small, offering a 7:1 student-faculty ratio so that the boys can get the most out of their academic experience. Landmark is a coeducational boarding and day school offering a full range of customized programs for students with language-based learning disabilities in grades 2-12, including a residential program for grades 9-12. Landmark individualizes instruction for each student and emphasizes the development of language and learning skills within a highly structured and supportive living and learning environment. In addition, Landmark offers a Summer Program (grades 1-12) including a customized schedule with a daily tutorial. Landmark is situated on two beautiful campuses 25 miles north of Boston.

Family-style living, outdoor education, and a hands-on approach to academics are unique qualities of our program. Oakland School is a small boarding and day school for children ages 6-14 with learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, non-verbal learning disabilities or visual and auditory processing disorders. The combination of daily one-to-one instruction, an emphasis on basic skills including Oakland’s specialty of teaching reading, a highly-experienced and nurturing staff and a success-oriented environment has enabled scores of children to reach their academic and personal potential since 1950.
