School Overview

Westshore Montessori School is a dynamic Pre-Primary/Kindergarten Program for children beginning at age 18 months. Our goal is to cultivate the child's natural desire to learn. The Montessori approach is one wherein the child learns at his own developmental pace. The program is designed to instill in the child, by respecting the child, a positive self-esteem, confidence, and a joy of learning. The Montessori classroom is a child-sized environment thus allowing for success in independence. Children of different ages work together and may flow through the environment at skill appropriate times rather than by age. Children may move forward in some areas and still take the time necessary to develop in other areas.
