The formation of Machon Chana in 1972 was inspired by the teachings of Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Rebbe envisions Jewish women as the fundamental, dynamic factor ensuring the continuity of the Jewish people and impacting the world at large. With great privilege, Machon Chana carries the name of the Rebbe's mother, Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson, obm. The atmosphere at Machon Chana is distinctly warm and supportive. Machon Chana's highly qualified and professional faculty and staff all share a primary dedication to Jewish education with a sensitivity to the needs of the individual student. The first and foremost institution of its kind, Machon Chana Jewish Women's Institute offers Torah study to the growing numbers of women who are exploring their Jewish heritage as adults.

The Academy is established in 1980 and offer Grades K through 12. Mohawk Valley Christian Academy offers complete education: academic, spiritual, moral, and physical. We uphold the Bible as absolute truth. Every subject is taught in the light of God's Word. True education must have as its primary goal the bringing of the student into a right relationship with God. Everything else is secondary to and dependent upon this. Through Jesus Christ, God has made provisions for this right relationship. Because we accept the Bible as absolute truth, our educational program has been designed to meet the needs of the whole child. We endeavor to teach our students academically, spiritually, morally, and physically. Providing intellectual advancement without spiritual and moral strength can be disastrous. We teach every subject in the light of God's Word, and our students learn to depend fully upon God in every aspect of life.
