The formation of Machon Chana in 1972 was inspired by the teachings of Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe. The Rebbe envisions Jewish women as the fundamental, dynamic factor ensuring the continuity of the Jewish people and impacting the world at large. With great privilege, Machon Chana carries the name of the Rebbe's mother, Rebbetzin Chana Schneerson, obm. The atmosphere at Machon Chana is distinctly warm and supportive. Merkaz Bnos High School is an all-girls Jewish academic institution offering grades 9th through 12th. It was founded in 1990 with the encouragement and assistance of numerous community leaders. Midwood Academy is one of three new regional schools that were organized in September 2005. Midwood Catholic Academy has 227 students from 175 families. Our faculty consists of ten full time teachers from grades N to Eight.
