The Children's Creative and Performing Arts Academy was founded in June 1981 in Pacific Beach. The Campus population is approximately 350 students, with a diversity of backgrounds and interests. Representatives from such countries as Japan, China, Germany and Israel can be found in all divisions. The curriculum of the Academy meets and surpasses the requirements set by the State of California. Written evaluations, based upon mastery, are given every six weeks. Conferences are required at the first and fourth grading periods, but may be scheduled with individual teachers at any time during the academic year. The Stanford Achievement Tests, are administered every year in May. The results of these tests are available to the public. PSAT is administered in October.
