Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School was established in 1972 by a church which saw the need to bring education back into a Christ-centered environment. Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School uses Christian curriculum such as A-Beka and Bob Jones from Pre-K3 through 8th grade. We teach writing skills, phonics, reading, math, Bible, spelling, science, social studies, computer, music, physical education and art. Our three-year-old begin with letters and sounds and progress to reading words. Four and five year old will learn letters and sounds and learn simple arithmetic and good writing skills that will give him a head start in elementary grades. Recognizing that our world requires men and women who can effectively integrate God's Truth in every area of their lives, "Cedar Hills Baptist Christian School exists to provide a nurturing environment where students can flourish academically, spiritually, socially, and physically and where strong relationships with the family, church, and community can be developed that are based upon God's Word, His love and compassion."

The mission of Center Academy is to provide students with a learning environment that facilitates the development of self-confidence, motivation, and academic skills, and gives students the opportunity to achieve success in life. It is often difficult for a child to maintain self-esteem when his/her learning requirements differ from other students in school. Therefore, we offer a highly structured educational program in an atmosphere that is familiar, understanding, nurturing, and supportive. Center Academy helps students with average to above average intelligence who "fall through the cracks" in school, or who need special help with organization, motivation, and/or social skills.

Center Academy provides a small, safe, accredited college prep environment for students who have fallen behind or who want to get ahead. Based in Florida, Center Academy started the first school for dyslexia in the United Kingdom. Center Academy is family-operated since 1968. It was founded by Dr. Mack Hicks, neuro-psychologist and chairman of the board of directors. More than a dozen directors, teachers, and staff have worked as members of the Center Academy "family" for at least 10 years. Center Academy private schools do not give the FCAT. Because education is much broader than a single measure, we do not "teach to the test". Nevertheless, our nationally-normed assessments consistently demonstrate that, on the whole, Center Academy students make learning gains greater than they had in their prior schooling.

Central Florida Preparatory School seeks to provide every student with an opportunity to optimize their academic potential, to develop a positive self-image, and to encourage a life-long desire for learning. Central Florida Preparatory School believes that to effectively optimize a child's academic potential, a school must provide a learning environment that incorporates a variety of learning techniques while accommodating individual learning styles. At CFP, we accomplish this by providing a low student/teacher ratio which allows a teacher to better understand how each student learns. Our small class sizes allow our teachers to individualize lesson plans, be more responsive to students' needs, and to continually challenge them academically. By approaching education in this manner, a student experiences success and develops a strong self image regarding his/her academic ability. When children experience success and feel good about their learning environment they develop a positive attitude that remains with them for life.
