As both a parent of two boys and a teacher at this school, I can confidently say it's more than just a workplace or an institution—it's our home. The small class sizes ensure that each student receives personalized attention, allowing teachers to understand and cater to individual learning styles. This approach fosters a supportive and engaging learning environment .

The school's commitment to cultural diversity is evident in its inclusive curriculum, which integrates diverse perspectives and encourages students to appreciate various cultures and backgrounds. This not only enriches their learning experience but also prepares them to thrive in a global society.

What truly sets this school apart is the leadership. The head of school and administration actively engage with students, meeting them at their level and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Their genuine care and approachability create a sense of trust and respect throughout the school community.

My daughter came to Andrews Osborne Academy (AOA) in fall 2020 as an eighth grader. During the global health pandemic, I saw that AOA was providing safe, quality, in person learning. I was first attracted to AOA due to its international population/diverse student population. Over the last five years I have seen my daughter grow thanks to the exceptional, caring Faculty. I have valued AOA's holistic approach to education which has enabled her to pursue her artistic passions on stage, but skill build by playing softball throughout high school. The school has provided a variety of experiences through various clubs that has enabled her to grow as a leader. The AOA campus is beautiful and has provided a safe setting to allow her to grow her independence. AOA's independent school curriculum has challenged her academically and prepared her for college.

AOA is a truly special school, and I’m proud to be an alum. The dedicated staff created a supportive environment that nurtured creativity and encouraged innovative thinking. My time at AOA opened the door to new experiences and gave me the confidence to explore them all. The school’s strong academic foundation challenged me in the best ways and fully prepared me for the rigors of university. Now, as I approach my final year of college, I often reflect on how AOA shaped my journey. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without the experiences and encouragement I received there. Thank you to the incredible staff and community for making such a lasting impact.

My son started is in his second year at AOA, and he still comes home every day excited to tell me all about his daily activities and adventures. His team of teachers are fostering a love of learning and a curiosity in him that is just wonderful to witness. His Lower School classroom is also paired with an Upper School classroom of international students for reading and conversation - he now feels like he has a big brother from China. What a special way for my son and the older students to build community and learn together. My family and I feel fortunate to be members of the AOA family!

I started at Andrews Osborne Academy in the fourth grade and remained through my high school graduation in 2019. My experience at AOA was exceptional across the board: academically, socially, and personally. The curriculum challenged and prepared me well, and the campus’s diversity and values deeply shaped who I am today.

After graduating from AOA, I was accepted into the University of Chicago, where I earned my BA in Economics. I then went on to complete my graduate studies at the Booth School of Business, specializing in Analytics. I credit AOA for laying the foundation that set me up for success both academically and professionally.

I look back fondly on my time at AOA and the wide range of activities I was involved in, from National Honor Society and International Week Committee to Crochet Club and managing the Varsity Basketball Team. The opportunities for self-expression and growth, combined with the school’s supportive community, make AOA a truly special place.

I am a 2019 graduate of Andrews Osborne Academy, and can confidently say that AOA is a wonderful school that went above and beyond to prepare me for college. At AOA, I was able to participate in various different extracurricular activities, take amazing AP classes, all while enjoying the amazing opportunity of attending school on a beautiful campus where so many global perspectives are able to be exchanged. The college counseling program ran by Melissa Nipper is of the highest quality and provides every student with crucial one-on-one counseling time to identify the best university opportunities for them. I cannot recommend AOA highly enough.

As an international family, we were especially concerned about how well our child would adjust to a new environment. AOA has done a fantastic job. It’s a welcoming environment that is culturally diverse, and the teachers go out of their way to help students feel at home. From academics to boarding life, everything is well organized and gives us peace of mind as parents. Our child is challenged and supported, two things that I have not seen done this well at other schools. I also dropped in unannounced to visit my son and see what it is like... I was very surprised and enjoyed the time, the faculty for taking their time to connect and the opportunity to sit and eat the food that is quite good with my son.
