Wheeling Country Day School is an independent private school that was founded in 1929 by Mrs. Margaret L. Holloway. Set in the Woodsdale section of Wheeling and spanning over 6 acres, it serves a student population of boys and girls from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. One of it's more unique features is its predominently outdoor setting filled with courtyards, walkways and open fields-perfect places for children to explore the world around them. It is the mission of Wheeling Country Day School to provide an educational environment which fosters a lifelong love of learning, a sense of independence and resourcefulness, and the fulfillment of intellectual potential, while helping children become respectful, responsible citizens.
