School Overview

The Healdsburg School is a private, independent school, grades K-8, providing a student-teacher ratio of 8:1 and average class size of 17. Based upon solid educational and brain research, our program focuses on a learner-centric system, teaching children how to think, not what to think. Preparing children for participation in an ever changing global community, our students study both Mandarin and Spanish beginning in Kindergarten. Recognizing the validity of the International Baccalaureate Organization, we are proud to have been accepted as a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme, an important step in our pursuit of authorization as an IB World School.
