School Overview

Bridges Academy was established in 1979 by Victoria Ives-Adamson, who herself experienced the same heartaches suffered by all learning different students. Bridges Academy was founded to educate children with learning differences. Bridges Academy follows the guidelines of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, but never loses sight of the individual needs of each student. Bridges Academy believes that all children with learning disabilities have a right to be educated as citizens of a democratic society. Our goal is to provide our students with academic, organizational study skills for success in their continued education once they leave Bridges Academy.
