Tara Hill Montessori School was based on Montessori education program which had created by Maria Montessori. Maria Montessori was the first woman physician in Italy in 1896. She had a background in mathematics, engineering and biology prior to her study of medicine. After her study of philosophy, psychology and working with several groups of children, she designed special materials in a scientifically prepared environment that would stimulate the growth and development of the brain. She tried this method and found it to be very effective in improving the standards of education. This method of education has achieved world-wide recognition and success and is known as the Montessori Method of Education.
