School Overview

At Ridley, “World Prep” means an education that blends classical roots with a forward-looking approach — preparing students for success at the most selective universities worldwide. Our rigorous academic programme includes both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, ensuring every student is equipped for global opportunities.

Learning at Ridley goes far beyond the classroom. Students immerse themselves in a vibrant co-curricular life that spans the arts, athletics, leadership and — true to our motto, Terar Dum Prosim (“May I be consumed in service”) — meaningful service. With more than 75 clubs and activities, there’s something for every interest: from cadets and debate to robotics, film, blockchain technology, ski club and Model UN. Leadership opportunities abound, whether through clubs, House life or as School Prefects.

Our historic campus, just 45 minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport and minutes from Niagara Falls, is home to Ontario’s largest boarding programme — and the third largest in Canada — with 370 boarders representing over 60 countries. Spanning 90 acres, Ridley offers state-of-the-art performance and studio spaces, a newly renovated athletic complex, ten boarding houses, expansive playing fields, modern science labs, two theatres and classrooms equipped with the latest technology.
We invite you to experience Ridley for yourself. Lace up your skates and glide across our NHL-sized ice surface. Take the spotlight in our theatre and experience the magic of performance. Programme a robot and watch it come to life in our Robotics Lab. Join a Biology class and extract DNA from a strawberry. Attend a House meeting and meet future friends from around the world. Plan your future with our postsecondary placement experts. Take a tour and imagine your future at Ridley.
