Raymond and Ruth Perelman Jewish Day School, a Solomon Schechter Affiliate school, educates students from Kindergarten through grade eight on three campuses in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We provide a dual curriculum that integrates Jewish and General studies. Our goal is to instill in our students a pride in and commitment to both Jewish and American values. Our students achieve academic excellence in both English and Hebrew language arts, mathematics, social science, general science, and religious studies. Students also attend sessions in music, art, computer and science laboratories, physical education, and Israel Folk Dancing. We seek the growth and development of each child in the context of individual needs as well as in the context of the greater community. Perelman offers an outstanding child-centered, responsive program that provides a wide range of learning opportunities in a nurturing environment. The curriculum is enhanced by enrichment in both scholastic and extracurricular areas. At The Robert Saligman Middle School, our aim is to develop a community of students actively learning and exploring with their teachers. Helping students discover their place in history and guiding them as they assume their roles as Jews and Americans is one of our school's most important tasks.
