School Overview

Parkview Baptist School, founded in 1980, is a private, accredited educational alternative offering a home-bound program for children of ages 12 - 18 years old in grades 7 - 12. We also have an adult learning program for those 19 and older. This is a flexible program where students are able to catch up with their proper age and grade level. Students also have the opportunity for early graduation. Parkview Baptist School, accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance, provides students with the core academic subjects following the Texas Recommended Curriculum. We use Abeka textbooks which are written in a Christian perspective. Because we are a private high school, there is no TAKS testing requirement for graduation. Students are given assignments on a monthly basis in four subjects at a time, all of which are completed at home. Students are required to come to the office for a meeting with a tutor once a month to turn in their assignments and receive the next. During this meeting we administer tests and help students with any difficulties they are having with the material.
