School Overview

At Morning Sky, students with a variety of learning, behavioral and communicative disabilities live and learn in six residential and classroom structures scattered among the trees. Once a working ranch, the facility features four classrooms, living quarters, and related services and business offices. Individual educational plans are developed for each Morning Sky student. Through these plans, current levels of achievement are outlined and goals and objectives in several areas are established. These areas include all required academic areas plus electives, vocational training, and social and behavioral skills. Because classes average seven to nine students, teachers and aides can give each pupil individual attention as needed. Speech therapy, counseling, audiological screenings, visual screenings and Designated Instructional Services are provided as needed.
