The Jeanine Schultz Memorial School was founded in the fall of 1965 by parents and members of the community to address the needs of emotionally disturbed youngsters whom at the time were not included in public or private schools. The vision of our school has always been to recognize the vast needs of youngsters who suffer from serious emotional and behavioral problems. Often difficulties seen are reflected in the child's intrapsychic behavioral conflicts. Conflicts resulting in an inability for adaptation to a regular school setting and thus requiring a highly specialized environment with multiple academic and clinical services offered by a high staff to student ratio. The Jeanine Schultz Memorial School is dedicated to promoting the highest level of learning for all our students through a Child Centered Approach. We value a safe, consistent, therapeutic environment for our students encouraging positive educational experiences while inspiring life long living and learning. The teaching of core academics, morals, and ethics lead our students to become productive, abiding citizens. Our professional staff consists of an Executive Director, Principal, Special Education Teachers, Paraprofessional Aides, and Therapists who work as a team devoted to each student's progress and success. As a staff we strive to develop consistent, caring relationships with our students.
