The Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein Upper School provides a stimulating educational environment in which young men and women can develop their commitment to a life of Torah learning and mitzvot, to the land and country of Israel, as well as their appreciation for the values and achievements of Western culture. Most important, we seek to graduate individuals who embody the values of menschlichkeit, reflecting moral refinement and ethical sensitivity. Through its curricular and co curricular offerings, the Upper School encourages its students to pursue intellectual challenge, to love learning, and to involve themselves in communal activity. The program offers a rigorous, integrated dual curriculum in general and Judaic studies with an emphasis on the Hebrew language. The curriculum encourages students to engage in independent learning, to pursue their interests and talents, and to develop their ability to think and to express themselves creatively and critically. Students are challenged to seek connections across the disciplines, to integrate their learning and to value the process of intellectual discovery and artistic creativity. The co curricular programming nurtures each individual's leadership potential while emphasizing the importance of Jewish identity, of experiencing the values of social responsibility and of communal obligation. Through its guidance program and its advisement services, the Upper School assists its students to develop into well-rounded, religiously committed, fulfilled young adults. With its exceptional record of college admissions, the Upper School prepares its students for the academic and personal challenges of their higher education. A significant percentage of our graduates decide to defer their college studies as they pursue a year of Torah learning in Israel. Graduates of the Ramaz Upper School are poised to establish lives of religious meaning and personal fulfillment in the modern world.

Webster Christian School was founded in 1977 as a ministry of Webster Bible Church. Originally, it had 54 students contained in grades K-6. By 1983 our first senior class graduated. Over 80% of our seniors have gone on to college annually. Presently, grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12 average about 260 students. We believe that all wisdom comes from God and that He is the source of all knowledge. Quality education should be administered in a spiritual atmosphere. Therefore, we are dedicated to the belief that quality education must have at its core the concept that truth is found in the Word of God. Any educational system or curriculum that fails to present Christian truth has failed to educate the whole student. By using the Word of God as a basis for right behavior, we insist on respect for authority, well disciplined classes, and high standards of decency. Provision of a quality academic education is not the only purpose of Webster Christian School. We also desire to bring every child to a personal, saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to promote growth in the child's personal relationship with the Savior.

We believe, above all, that our students must know how to think, how to analyze, how to synthesize, and how to communicate their ideas. To that end, we emphasize the development of writing and critical skills across the curriculum – in Science, Mathematics, History, English, Foreign Language and Art. Students study a wide range of subjects, and explore each subject in depth, through lectures, experiments, fieldwork, research and discussions.

The mission of our school is to inspire the development of children toward becoming independent, responsible, contributing individuals, in a safe, supportive, culturally diverse environment that gives them the freedom to explore, cooperate, create, and become. In doing so we strive for the child to become one who seeks a personal vision, who uses their talents and skills to enrich individual and community life. We educate children in an atmosphere which promotes respect and dignity for themselves, for others, and for the world in which we live. The Montessori approach to education is a holistic one, offering not only a rigorous academic curriculum but addressing as well the spiritual, emotional, physical, and social needs of the child. We celebrate meaningful traditions. We honor the sanctity of each person's spirit. We provide the needed security to embrace challenge. We nourish the deep lasting relationship between children, teachers, and parents, which deepens the learning experience. Within the Montessori classroom children face a microcosm of the world.
