Temple Emanuel established the Temple Emanuel Preschool in 1971 to serve the community. Throughout the years, it has continued to be a leader in preschool education in the Denver metropolitan area. A committee comprised of parents of preschool children supports the full-time professional staff, helps establish policy and plans programs for the school. Jewish tradition places a high value on education. The spirit of this heritage rests at the heart of Temple Emanuel Preschool's philosophy. Temple Emanuel Preschool exposes our children to the wonder of discovery and learning new things. Ultimately the children will become their own teachers, seekers of knowledge and understanding on their own terms. Our children will develop an essential sense of their own self-worth. Through independence and curiosity our children will attain their own worthiness. These concepts are developed by feeling valued, having a positive sense of Jewish identity, encouraging positive social awareness and interaction, encouraging creativity, and offering opportunities to develop gross motor, visual and auditory skills. At the center of this intimate setting is a dedicated professional staff. Teachers are well trained. Curriculums are carefully planned. Each staff member knows that the primary objective is to make the children feel that going to school is a natural and exciting experience and that there is nothing quite so wonderful as discovering something new.
