Stuart Hall School

Stuart Hall is a remarkable place. The three things that make us different from other schools (European or American), are 1. Our culture of kindness and acceptance 2. More importantly, we have students from 21 countries, and they find the distance is manageable and love being at Stuart Hall. We are just three hours from Dulles International Airport, where there are direct flights to most major airports.

School Culture:
At STU it's cool to be you. There is a sense that students come to Stuart Hall to explore who they are and to find friends who share their passions and interests. It's a diverse community where international and American students mix and become friends, where soccer players are best friends with art students, and where your age matters less than your interests. Everyone finds a niche here, and you never have to worry about where or how you'll fit in.

Location:
Unlike most boarding schools in the US or Europe, we are close to the action, not far flung into the countryside. In a town of 24,000 people, and voted one of the "Best small towns in America" and "Best Main Street" in America, the location is important to who we are. The dorms are located just blocks away from coffee shops, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. There's a lot to do here, and it feels like being in university, but in a safe environment in which to grow. Our curriculum is intertwined with the town, and students will often have classes at a business downtown or work with one of our local museums or institutions on a project.

Personal approach:
Whether your goal is a pre-medical program or an art school, you can achieve it at Stuart Hall. Our 1:6 teacher to student ratio means that you'll have personal support throughout high school to help you determine and achieve your goals. Combined with our strong advisory program and robust college counseling office, our students are well-prepared for the next step after graduation.
