Mark and Victoria Oliva founded Spring Hill Montessori in 1993 as an alternative to large institutional preschools. They feel that many preschools in the Cambridge community can be overwhelming to a young child taking his/her first step out of the home and into an educational setting. Spring Hill Montessori School emphasizes a balance of intellectual and social development for preschoolers. The classrooms are prepared for a small group of children by a husband and wife certified teaching team. The school is located on a quiet street in West Cambridge's Huron Village.
