New Horizons Elementary School was founded more than two decades ago to provide educational opportunities that develop critical academic skills, self-direction, personal responsibility and life-long learning to children between the ages of 5 and 11. Learning is a three-part equation with teachers, parents, and students sharing the joys and responsibilities. The NHES faculty is sensitive to the needs of their students and make it a priority to communicate frequently with parents or guardians and to include the family in the learning process. Students receive vital instruction in communication skills, mathematics, science, and social studies using the most current, research-based techniques and strategies. In addition, children engage in a character-building program designed to foster and strengthen their leadership skills for the 21st century. Physical fitness, foreign language, and the arts are important parts of the NHES program. New Horizons provides a well-balanced, educational experience for its students designed to develop the potential within each child for greatness.
