Idyllwild Arts Academy does not offer AP courses. In all subjects we offer Honors-level courses, which carry a weighted GPA just as AP courses do. Many American colleges and universities have no interest in AP courses because they believe that AP courses teach only how to succeed on standardized tests. These colleges care less about high scores on standardized tests than about evidence that a student has explored a subject in depth. Idyllwild Arts Academy's Honors-level courses provide this kind of depth.
