Engelberg’s monastery lies nestled in the Alpine landscape. Benedictine educational traditions provide the foundation for today’s school – the Stiftsschule. We are a Christian boarding and day school with a modern educational program. Our school is a place for living and learning. It enables students to take on responsibility. It also prepares them optimally for higher education and for a career in our globalized world. The personal atmosphere of the Stiftsschule encourages the individual development of the young people in our care, and promotes a sense of community spirit. The bilingual Swiss Matura allows our students to transfer to Swiss universities such as HSG St. Gallen, ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne without having to take an exam.
