We had over 100 grandparents and grandfriends join us today for our spring concerts and socializing in the garden! Thank you all sooooo much for coming out to make this a special day for our community! Teacher Carley deserves an enormous round of applause for her efforts today and for the work leading us here! Our students are lucky to have these influential family and friends in their lives 🥰 We will share recordings with the community soon!

Today we hosted “Muffins for Moms” for our lower school families! Students have been working on portraits, artwork, and writing pieces in honor of their loving and caring Moms! This is one of our favorite days of the year at Friends School and we hope all of these incredible and deserving women have the absolute best Mother’s Day weekend 🌸

We have students in the OBX for their experiential learning trip, we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, we are hosting Muffins for Moms, AND we have Grandparents and Grandfriends coming to enjoy our spring concerts! Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting an alumni guest speaker! Mr. Chris Thomas came to speak to a group of 5th and 6th graders ahead of their experiential learning trip to the OBX. Students are studying the First Flight and will be visiting the Wright Brothers Memorial and Museum. Mr. Chris Thomas is a pilot for Jet Blue and also operates his own plane with Warbird Thunder Airshows! Thank you for coming to talk with our students about your life experience and the evolution of flight!
